BRIT Systems Launches Advanced Web-based 3D Viewing Tools

DALLAS, TX, November 26, 2014 - At the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), BRIT Systems will announce the release of WebWorks 3D, an optional add-in tool for the company's WebWorks zero footprint image browser. BRIT will demonstrate the web-based 3D tools in RSNA booth #2407.

The 3D tools include viewing a 3D rendering that can be rotated; MIPS and MPRs, magnification, cross reference and locate tools, measurement tools and snap shot tools so an image can be saved as DICOM to the server for others to view. WebWorks provides browser-based viewing to any DICOM capable PACS and VNA, supports federating timelines across multiple DICOM servers and can be made available via URLs (links) from within EMRs.

WebWorks 3D is available at a new economical price point for locally installed systems with the functionality radiologists expect in 3D viewing. It can also be purchased as a service offering. The system is sized by the number of concurrent images that will be rendered. Radiologists can try it for free by signing up for an account at

"At BRIT Systems, we've always prided ourselves in making medical image management affordable and available to a large number of users," says Shelly Fisher, President, BRIT Systems. "This product fulfills our mission of making 3D images generally available to radiologists wherever they happen to be located. WebWorks 3D also helps radiologists enhance the value of their services by providing these tools to referring physicians, who really need them more than the radiologists since they are not trained to visualize the image slices holistically."
