BRIT Introduces RoentgenWorks ASP for
Vendor Neutral PACS, RIS and Teleradiology

DALLAS, TX, and WASHINGTON, DC, June 2, 2011 Ė BRIT Systems, Inc., announces a new ASP solution for facilities seeking an affordable way to manage and distribute imaging data. RoentgenWorks ASP is based on BRITís 100% browser-based platform and offers different service levels to fit the varying needs of radiology group practices, imaging centers and hospitals. Low start-up costs and no on-going maintenance fees as well as a low cost per study model make the service very affordable and low risk. RoentgenWorks ASP utilizes fully redundant, secure RoentgenWorks servers that are hosted at BRITís data center to ensure data integrity and support iPad viewers for physicians.

"RoentgenWorks ASP offers the same modular approach as the RoentgenWorks platform for PACS, RIS and Teleradiology applications, so facilities can pay for what they need today and add capacity and additional services as they grow tomorrow,Ē says Shelly Fisher, President, BRIT Systems. ďThis service is an ideal way to provide referring physicians real-time, electronic access to imaging studies."

Starting at $0.50 per study, the Basic Image Distribution ASP level enables unlimited medical image viewing with the browser-based WebWorks viewer and the DoctorWorks* iPad viewer. All studies are stored for 60 days and replicated for redundancy. Using BRITís Patient Discovery tool, users can locate and retrieve patient data cross-enterprise. HIPAA access tracking by patient and/or user is also provided.

RoentgenWorks ASP Archival Services start at $0.85 per study offers the choice of three-year, five-year or extended storage options. In addition to providing the same features as the Basic Image Distribution, RoentgenWorks ASP Archival Services are vendor neutral archive (VNA) capable.

Additional service levels are available, including RIS scheduling via BRITís integrated RIS, UrgentWorks Critical Results Reporting and ER Discordance Tools, Roentgen Works Flow for remote reading workflow for radiologists, NHIN Gateway for locating and retrieving CCR/CDAs for patients within a HIE, and more.

BRIT Systems will showcase RoentgenWorks ASP at the annual meeting of the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM), booth 608, in Washington D.C. June 2 through 4.

*DoctorWorks is sold separately at the iTunes App Store for $49; (no additional licensing fees apply)
